Techniques Dental Lab

How to send a case

Find your scanner of choice below and click on it to view the step by step guide to sending our case to our lab for service.

  1. To connect via 3Shape connect, first go to your web browser and navigate to the 3Shape Communicate Portal. Alternatively, you can google search 3Shape Communicate Portal to get to the portal home page, then click ‘Connections’ at the top-center of the screen between ‘Cases’ and ‘Integrations’.
  2. Notice the red button that says ‘Add Connection’ on the left side of the screen, below the 3Shape logo slightly to the left. Click this button and a new window will pop up.
  3. You’ll be asked for an email or a name for the organization you wish to connect to. In this box, type tdlscannerfiles@gmail.com. Once you’re certain that you’ve correctly entered the email, press enter on your keyboard. You should notice a gray box show up below the text box showing you the correct address and phone number associated with Techniques Dental Lab. Click the red ‘Connect’ button and you’re done!
  4. Please call us at 614-846-3121 to let us know that you’ve requested a connection as it must be approved manually on our end.
  5. After our approval, you can select ‘Techniques Dental Lab’ when sending files to ensure they make it to the correct lab.
  1. On your iTero scanner, click the ‘Find a Laboratory’ option.
  2. When prompted, enter our company ID: Techniques Dental Lab 222803
  3. After making your connection, be sure to select Techniques Dental Lab when sending files.
  4. Alternatively: You can call 800-577-8767 and select option 1.
  5. Ask to add ‘Techniques Dental Lab’ to your scanner.
  6. If asked, give our lab phone number, 614-846-3121 to help identify our lab correctly.
  7. Once we’re added to your scanner, you must restart it for changes to take full effect.
  1. Navigate to the Medit Link website with your administrator account.
  2. On the left panel of the website, find a button marked ‘Partners’.
  3. Search for ‘Techniques Dental Lab’ and once we show up in the results, click the ‘Request Partnership’ button.
  4. You’ll see our lab added to your ‘My Partner List’ but this addition will be pending approval.
  5. Please call us at 614-846-3121 to inform us of your request and we will accept it.
  6. Be sure to select Techniques Dental Lab when sending files.
  1. Go to CustomerFE (connectcasecenter.com) and Login.
  2. Once logged in click on “My Favorite Recipients” (Left side of the page).
  3. Click Search Recipient.
  4. Search direct with “Techniques Dental Lab” in the recipient line. Scroll down and click “Start Search”.
  5. Click the Orange plus box to add Techniques Dental Lab to list of recipients.
  6. Techniques Dental Lab will now be saved under the “My Favorite Recipient” category.
  1. Log into your CSConnect account.
  2. Select Techniques Dental Lab in the drop-down menu. If it’s the first time sending to us, enter “scannerfiles@techniquesdentallab.com” in the email field. We will receive an email to connect with you.
  3. Attach files by clicking “Browse” and choosing the correct .dcm file from the patient’s folder and click “Open”.
  4. Please note any important information about the case in the comment box.
  5. Press “Submit”
  6. Your case is ready to proceed to production
  1. Create an account through “www.sirona-connect.com” if your office does not have an account already. Call Sirona Customer Service at 1-844-848-0137 for assistance if needed.
  2. Make sure to select Techniques Dental Lab as favorite lab.
  3. Once you have finished scanning patient, review order and restoration information then click on “Enter Order Data”
  4. Once upload is complete, select Techniques Dental Lab and provide a preferred return date.
  5. To add any further information about the case and/or patient, choose “Add Additional Information” and upload the information along with any additional files.
  6. Review case information and scan data then click “Submit Cart”
  7. Enter your username and password again to complete the case submission.
  8. Your case is ready for us to work on.
  1. In your CAD/CAM module, select the desired case file(s) and choose “DDX Export”.
  2. Select “STL” as the export type.
  3. Click “Create a New Case”. If you are not logged into DDX already, you will be prompted to login to DDX.
  4. Select “Techniques Dental Lab” from list of available labs.
  5. Fill out the form with the requested procedure, materials being used, shades, etc.
  6. Review information is correct and “Submit Case”
  7. Please call us to confirm receipt 614-846-3121
  1. Complete the intraoral scan for patient.
  2. Take the STL file output by scanner and attach it to an email addressed to tdlscannerfiles@gmail.com Include any important information including procedure, materials being used, shade, etc
  3. Send the email & call us to confirm receipt 614-846-3121
  4. Once we receive your email the case is ready to be worked on.
